MZS – Blast Damper

Blast dampers are used in ventilation systems to prevent the blast wave through external walls into the building. They are designed with high ventilation capacity. The dampers can protect people and equipment from explosions or momentary pressure change (e.g. tornadoes, etc.). When an explosion occurs, the valve will close instantly under the action of the shock wave; when the shock wave disappears, the valve will be automatically restored. They are mainly used in refineries, oil & gas, nuclear power plants and some other facilities which are at risk of explosions. They are installed on the air openings (air inlet and…

MZS – Blast Damper

MZS protective section designed to protect ventilation devices of special-purpose buildings from the effects of a shock wave of long duration with a pressure up to 10 kg/cm² (1000 kPa)

Protective sections closes automatically, under the pressure of the blast wave, covering ventilation openings or air ducts and provide protection against the penetration of a blast wave into the shelter.

  • Min Size: 282 mm x 321 mm (W x H)

  • Weight: 5 kg

  • Airflow: 1500 m3/h

  • Pressure drop:  up to 250 Pa

  • Blast wave pressure resistance: long duration 0.3 to 10 kg/cm² (30-1000 kPa)
